About me

Naomi Muggleton is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Social Policy at the University of Oxford. She is also the William Golding Junior Research Fellow at Brasenose College and an honorary Research Fellow at Warwick Business School. Muggleton’s research combines behavioural science, economics, and machine learning to help understand how individuals are impacted by economic inequality. Her work on topics ranging from gambling-related harm to financial literacy to the the UK Government’s levelling-up agenda shared widely in academia, media outlets, and in both Houses of Parliament.

Muggleton received her Ph.D. from the University of Warwick in 2018 and completed her first Postdoctoral Fellowship at Warwick Business School. Before joining Oxford, she worked at the Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for data science and machine learning.
